Large Piling Contract Secured in North Wales

Marshall Construction of Elland have placed a major sub contract  in excess of £1.1m with Keller Foundations  to install CFA piles on a site immediately next to the London to Holyhead Rail line at Prestatyn.

The site is underlain by loose silts peats and soft clay and has been under consideration for over five years. Andrew Davison, Piling Manager commented, "We were pleased to secure this project having looked at it over a long period of time. We have considered just about every solution we offer ranging from vibro, vibro concrete columns through to dry soil mixing and lime stabilisation and when Marshalls approached us we were able to give the right technique". Work has just started with two rigs on a tight programme-more pictures to follow soon.
